Ryan is a 2nd-time energy and sustainability founder in the hardtech space with wide ranging experience in both business and technology domains across several industries including energy, carbon capture and sustainable transportation.

He's been in the energy and sustainability space for over 12 years and has been in engineering & product development for just as long. He got started with a solar startup when PPA's first came on the scene and was involved in developing ~50 solar projects that went live. 

Prior to Cedar Labs he worked on the development of carbon capture solutions for enclosed-roadway ventilation systems. As part of that initiative he worked on a pilot with a major transit authority for one of their tunnels. Before that he was developing kinetic energy recovery systems based on advanced EV powertrain technology and raised a venture round to commercialize the technology.

Additionally Ryan has designed and developed technologies across engineered carbon removal, hybrid energy storage, novel power generation and transmission systems, vehicle-to-grid, EV powertrain systems, adaptive regenerative braking systems, robotic vehicles and more.

His strengths are in creative problem solving, mechanical engineering & design, rapid prototyping & fabrication, product development, technology commercialization and product management.

Ryan holds multiple patents across energy and decarbonization with several more in the works.
